Beloved Harlan Cattleman Lynn D. Barry Passes Away
Harlan mourns the loss of Lynn D. Barry, a cherished cattleman and community pillar known for his generosity and deep love for family. From his early days in farming to timeless moments at home, Lynn's legacy continues through his loved ones.
Lynn D. Barry, a dedicated cattleman and beloved member of the community, passed away recently. He had a lifelong passion for farming, starting his journey in the industry at a young age, even driving cattle trucks to the Omaha Stockyards by age 12. Known for his strength and speed in high school sports, Lynn was also recognized for his quiet generosity and faith.
He is survived by his wife Brenda, children Jason and Chad, and numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Lynn cherished his family and enjoyed peaceful days with Brenda in their log home.
In honor of Lynn's memory, donations can be made to Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Samaritan’s Purse, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 3-8 p.m. at Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine, Iowa.
