Tammy Kristine Kaltved, a beloved Harlan resident, passed away on March 17, 2025, after a brave five-year battle with cancer. She was 52 years old.
Born on October 31, 1972, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, Tammy grew up in Woodbine and graduated in 1991. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Dana College and married Chad Kaltved in 1998 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dunlap.
Tammy was a dedicated mother to Zachary and Avery, supporting them in all aspects of their lives while also helping with Chad’s chiropractic practice. Known as the "family glue," she was an empathetic listener and a passionate advocate for her loved ones.
Her joy for life shone through her hobbies, including gardening, decorating, and cooking. She cherished her family and her dog, Nala, and was known for nurturing relationships with those around her.
Tammy is survived by her husband Chad and children Zachary and Avery of Harlan, along with her father and siblings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
