Alvin Melvin Kimmen, 84, who grew up in Harlan, Iowa, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at his daughter Cassandra's home in Gainesville, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith-Kimmen, and his three sons, William, Andrew, and Frank. Al also leaves behind two stepdaughters, two stepsons, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kimmen was preceded in death by his son, Jon, and his daughter-in-law, Sherri. He was also mourned by his siblings, including sisters Mona Case from Manning and Bonnie Jacobs from Harlan.
