Janelle Rose Christensen, aged 90, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Houston, Minnesota. Born on October 16, 1934, in Harlan, Iowa, she was the beloved daughter of Victor and Frances Curtis and grew up in Harlan.

Janelle married Niel Christensen after graduating from Harlan High School, and they celebrated 70 years together in 2023. During their life, the family moved between various Iowa locations before settling in Minnesota. Janelle was known for her nurturing nature, raising 13 children and impacting the lives of over 130 descendants.

A skilled homemaker, she loved cooking, gardening, and quilting, sharing her talents with family and friends. She was part of several community groups and found joy in church activities and family traditions.

Janelle is survived by her extensive family and will be deeply missed for her faith, creativity, and loving spirit. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 1, 2025, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.
