Liela Ann Matzen, 78, originally from Harlan, Iowa, passed away on June 30, 2025, at her home in Blair, Nebraska. She was born on September 4, 1946, to William and Bertha Jorgensen and later graduated from Blair High School in 1964.
Liela married Robert Matzen on July 17, 1965, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Throughout her career, she worked at several local businesses, including Western Electric and Blair Community Schools, where she also drove a school bus.
She cherished the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was known for her fondness for raccoons.
She is survived by her children, Deborah and Robert, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Liela was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A memorial service will be held on July 7 at First United Methodist Church, with visitation on July 6 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
