In a thrilling showdown Monday night, the CAM volleyball team secured their first victory of the season by defeating Harlan in a closely contested five-set match. The Cougars, who faced a Harlan team nearly four times their size, showcased impressive determination throughout the game.
Coach Hillary Zimmerline praised her team for their relentless effort and intensity, stating, “We fought the entire match, never letting up.” The Cougars started strong, winning the first set 25-21 before Harlan equalized by taking the second set 25-18. CAM regained their lead with a 25-17 win in the third set, only for Harlan to push back in the fourth set with a 25-15 victory.
