Community Gathers to Honor Joyce Nielsen at Harlan Service
Join the Harlan community on May 21 to celebrate the life of Joyce Nielsen, 94. A heartfelt memorial service at Immanuel Lutheran Church precedes her burial at Harlan Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
A memorial service for Joyce Nielsen, 94, of Elk Horn, Iowa, will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan.
Visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the service. Following the service, Joyce will be laid to rest at the Harlan Cemetery.
Joyce is survived by her children, Rebecca (Gary) Feser from Irwin and Hans “Jay” (Susan) Nielsen from Defiance, along with two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Janice White of Griswold, and Pamela Lees of Montrose, Colorado, among other family and friends.
