Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Dennis McCullough

Dennis McCullough, a beloved member of the community, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he was adopted shortly thereafter and grew up on a farm near Griswold.

Denny married Lila Butler in 1971, and together, they raised three children: Michael, Tony, and Anna. A dedicated worker, he spent over two decades at Schuler Manufacturing, later transitioning to SkyJack, where he traveled across the U.S. for work.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Denny was a family man who cherished his role as a grandfather to four granddaughters and recently became a great-grandparent. His ties to Harlan include his daughter Anna and granddaughters, Payten and Cierra, who reside in the area.

Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis, with a celebration of life scheduled at the Griswold Community Building on December 4th.
