Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Nurse Mary Beth Goeser

Mary Beth Goeser, a beloved member of the Harlan community, passed away on November 8, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and optimism that has touched all who knew her.

Born on January 16, 1968, in Harlan, Mary Beth grew up with three sisters and embraced life eagerly, participating in gymnastics, swim team, and horseback riding. She began dating her high school sweetheart, Jay Goeser, and they married in their hometown at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in 1990.

Mary Beth was a dedicated pediatric nurse and diabetes educator, driven by her passion for helping others. Together with Jay, they built a life filled with faith, joy, and adventure, raising three daughters and cherishing their grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, daughters Ana and Abi, grandchildren, her father Bob, and her sisters. A Visitation will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk on November 12, and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day.
