Community Mourns the Loss of Rosemary Klitz Larsen Stander

Rosemary Klitz Larsen Stander, 91, of Omaha, passed away on September 28, 2024. Born on July 28, 1933, she was the third of twelve children in the Klitz family from Dodge, Nebraska.

She is survived by a large family, including stepchildren and siblings. Rosemary had two marriages, first to Robert Larsen and later to Frank Stander. She was a dedicated aunt and a second mother figure to several of her nieces and nephews after the loss of her sister.

In her professional life, Rosemary worked in the banking industry after graduating from Scribner High School.

Services will be held at Dowd Chapel in Boys Town, with a wake on October 4, followed by a Mass on October 5. Rosemary will be interred at Harlan Cemetery in Harlan, Iowa, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dial4Seniors, supporting aging adults in need.
