The Harlan Cyclone wrestling team is off to a strong start this season, led by undefeated senior Jesse Jens, who boasts a record of 15-0 at the 126-pound weight class. Jens has notably won titles at the Dan Hill Invite, Riverside Tourney, and Glenwood Invite, showcasing his impressive skills, including a pin against Nebraska's top-ranked Lay Wah.

Other standout wrestlers include senior Spencer Fink at 13-2, senior Brody McKinley at 11-5, and sophomore Nathan Sandquist at 9-3. A memorable moment last month was when 215-pounder Nick Gubbels defeated Shenandoah's Landon Fuller, helping the team secure a vital dual match win.

Head Coach Adam Bendorff is optimistic about the upcoming weeks as the Cyclones prepare for districts, with a focus on maximizing their efforts leading into the Hawkeye Ten Conference tournament on February 1.
