Cyclones Celebrate All-Conference Honors After Successful Season

Harlan Community High School Cyclones celebrated a successful basketball season, with four players recognized in the Hawkeye Ten All Conference awards.

Aubrey Schwieso and Grace Albertsen earned spots on the first team, while Molly Swensen secured a second team position, and Kenzley Bruck received an honorable mention.

Albertsen, who led the Cyclones in rebounds and was a top scorer, expressed her surprise at making the first team after not playing much varsity in her earlier years. She credited her success to the guidance of head coach Zach Klaassen and the strong friendships developed with her teammates.

The Cyclones finished the season with an impressive record of 18-5, including a significant regional victory over the Red Oak Tigers.

Looking ahead, Albertsen is set to continue her basketball journey at Iowa Western, eager to apply the hard work she cultivated in high school.
