The HCHS Cyclones volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with an exciting win over the Atlantic Trojans, breaking a nine-game losing streak. After dropping the first set, the Cyclones bounced back to win the match in three straight sets.
Senior players Aubrey Schwieso and Macy Mueller were honored prior to the game. Schwieso expressed pride in the team's performance, citing their previous match as a key to their success. Coach Elle Crees noted that improved communication helped shift momentum in their favor.
The match turned after a tight first set loss at 26-24. The Cyclones rallied in the second set, winning 25-22, and took the third set 25-19. They ultimately secured their victory with a decisive 25-16 in the final set.
Looking ahead, the Cyclones will compete against the St. Albert Saintes and the Glenwood Rams on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Albert High School.
