The HCHS Cyclones boys wrestling team celebrated a successful evening, sweeping a triangular meet against Clarinda and Shenandoah. The Cyclones secured a decisive 60-18 win over Clarinda and narrowly defeated Shenandoah 39-37, wrapping up the first half of their season on a high note.

Coach Adam Bendorf praised the team's performance, highlighting victories by Nick Gubbels, Spencer Fink, Chayton Snethen, and others during both matches. The athletes showed strong skills, with several winning by pins, a testament to their six weeks of rigorous practice.

Looking ahead, the Cyclones are set to return to their home mat on January 9, where they will take on Denison and Atlantic at 5:30 p.m. This match will also feature a special Senior Night tribute for team members Spencer Fink, Jesse Jens, Brody McKinley, and Austin Spray.
