Cyclones Extend Winning Streak with Victory Over Spoofhounds

The Harlan Community High School Cyclones girls' basketball team notched their seventh consecutive victory on Thursday night, defeating the Maryville Spoofhounds 67-55 at home.

Head Coach Zach Klaassen praised the team's strong start and their ability to score effectively, particularly in the first half. Senior Grace Albertsen shined with multiple layups and contributed significantly as the Cyclones built their lead.

Despite a strong push from the Spoofhounds, the Cyclones maintained their advantage throughout the game, showcasing teamwork and strategic passing. Notable performances came from seniors Aubrey Schwieso and Molly Swensen, alongside sophomore Kenzley Bruck.

As the Cyclones improve to 14-3 this season, they prepare for another challenge at home against the Creston Panthers on Friday. Creston, currently 6-11, brings talented players such as Junior Kadley Bailey, who averages 18.5 points.
