The HCHS Cyclones boys basketball team faced a tough loss against the #2 ranked Kuemper Catholic Knights, going down 83-51 during their recent road game. Despite a solid start, the Cyclones struggled with turnovers, finishing the first half down by 18 points.
Head Coach Mitch Osborn noted that while the team played well initially, 13 turnovers before halftime ultimately hindered their performance. Jozef Reisz stood out offensively for the Cyclones, scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds, while teammates Kobe Klaassen and Dallas McDowell added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Coach Osborn emphasized the need for better ball control and defense moving forward.
The Cyclones will look to bounce back this Friday as they host the Blair Bears, who currently have one win. Osborn is optimistic and sees practice as a vital opportunity to improve before the upcoming game.
