Cyclones Face Tough Loss, Look Ahead to Homecoming

The Harlan Cyclones faced a tough defeat against the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors last Friday, falling 42-0 in an away game that showcased the Warriors' dominant running game and left the Cyclones seeking answers.

With the loss, the Cyclones now hold a 2-2 record for the season. Coach Todd Bladt expressed disappointment, noting, “We got beat in every facet of the game.” Injuries also hampered the Cyclones, with senior player Jozef Reisz unable to continue after the first quarter.

The Warriors quickly asserted control, scoring multiple touchdowns throughout the game and capitalizing on Cyclone mistakes, including an interception thrown by junior quarterback Gabe Arkfeld.

As the Cyclones prepare for their upcoming homecoming game against the Creston Panthers, Coach Bladt is hopeful for better performance. “Homecoming is usually a special game. Hopefully, a lot of people come out and we can put a good product out there.”
