The HCHS Cyclones boys wrestling team wrapped up their final competition before districts, securing two wins and one loss at the recent Logan-Magnolia Round Robin. The Cyclones triumphed over MVAOCOU 48-18 and edged West Monona-Whiting 39-33, but faced a setback with a 58-21 defeat against Logan-Magnolia.
Head Coach Adam Bendorf acknowledged the mixed results, noting some athletes performed well while others fell short. Individual highlights included strong performances from Brody McKinley, Jesse Jens, Chayton Snethen, and Austin Spray, among others. Notably, McKinley pinned his opponent in just 41 seconds during the match against MVAOCOU.
With districts coming up this Saturday at Glenwood High School, Coach Bendorf expressed confidence in the team's preparation, despite some injuries. As they gear up for this important meet, the Cyclones are hopeful for success against seven other participating schools.
