Harlan's gymnasium was filled with excitement as the Cyclones kicked off the Dean Mosher era with a doubleheader victory over Shenandoah.

In a closely contested girls’ game, the Harlan Cyclone girls managed a narrow 39-38 win despite a challenging start. Harlan struggled in the first half, hitting only 3 of 22 shots. However, late-game heroics by Brinley Van Baale, who secured crucial free throws, helped clinch the Cyclones' first win of the season (1-2). Kenzley Bruck and Aubree Wegner also contributed key points.

On the boys' side, Harlan demonstrated dominance, starting the game with a 13-0 run and securing a decisive 68-42 win. Dallas McDowell led the boys with an impressive 26 points, paving the way for their successful start at 1-0.
