Cyclones Shine at Central College Indoor Meet

The HCHS Cyclones girls track and field team showed strong performances at the Central College Indoor Meet. Coach Jenny Hamilton praised the event as a great opportunity to face off against teams from across the state.
Bristol Loudy led the field events with a shot put throw of 26 feet, while Aubree Wegner cleared 4 feet 8 inches in the high jump. Sophomore Brinley Van Baale jumped 13 feet 3.25 inches in long jump.
On the track, Wegner was the fastest Cyclone in the 200m, finishing 79th overall with a time of 29.50 seconds. Kerrigan Kruse achieved 52nd in the 400m, while Ashlyn Rau placed ninth in the 800m with a time of 2:37.54.
In distance events, Lindsey Sonderman claimed second in the 1500m, running 4:54.20. The Cyclones had notable relay performances too, including a fifth-place finish in the 4x400m and a third in the 4x800m.
