Cyclones Shine at Sioux City Wrestling Tournament

The HCHS Cyclones boys wrestling team showcased their skills at a recent tournament in Sioux City, competing against teams from South Dakota and Nebraska. Head Coach Adam Bendorf praised the varietal competition, noting its value for developing wrestlers.

Several Cyclones secured individual victories, including Nathan Sandquist, who achieved two wins in the 106 weight class, and Jesse Jens, who impressed with three victories in the 126 weight class. Other standout performers included Coy Obrecht, Jamison Clark, and Jaden Stephens, each contributing to the team's successful outing.

Coach Bendorf acknowledged areas for improvement, emphasizing the need for the team to enhance their techniques in wrestling positions. The Cyclones will be heading to Lewis Central High for their next match on Thursday, where they will face off against five other teams.
