Cyclones Tennis Team Shines at Hawkeye Ten Conference Meet

The Hawkeye Ten Girls Tennis Conference Meet took place in Shenandoah, with the Mustangs claiming the team title. Harlan’s Cyclones finished in a tie for 6th place, alongside Lewis Central and Denison Schleswig, each with 10 points.

The best performance for Harlan came from Lauren Schmitz and Mariajose Guerrero Luna, who secured a 3rd place finish in #2 doubles. Rebekah Christensen also had a notable outing, finishing 5th in #2 singles with a 4-1 record.

Shenandoah emerged victorious in the meet, edging out Clarinda by just 4 points. Gabi Jacobs was crowned champion in #1 singles, while Lyla Mather and Rachel Hobbie triumphed in #2 doubles for Shenandoah.

Other local participants included Atlantic, who finished 5th overall. The Trojans showcased strong performances, particularly in singles categories.
