Harlan alum Kayla Anderson played a key role for Northwest Iowa Community College’s soccer team this fall, starting 11 matches and scoring two goals — including the game-winner in the program’s lone victory.
Anderson battled a persistent groin injury and said the Raiders dealt with many injuries and limited bench depth, making the season a struggle after her winning years at Harlan.
She described college soccer as more physical and said she’s focused on getting stronger, recovering fully and helping the team improve in the spring.
Anderson praised her teammates and remains optimistic about year two as the program builds.
