Harlan Boys’ Track Team Prepares for Promising Season
As the Harlan Boys’ Track and Field team kicks off their season tonight in Carroll, excitement builds around their young roster. With last year's record-breaking legacy, Head Coach Sam Brummer is counting on fresh talent to shine. Will they rise to the challenge?

The Harlan Boys’ Track and Field team is gearing up for the new season, with their first competition tonight in Carroll at the Early Bird meet. Last year's team made history with a state record in the 4x100 relay, but this year's squad is notably young, featuring only one senior, Jozef Reisz.
Head Coach Sam Brummer is optimistic about his team, which includes around 35 boys. His sprinters and mid-distance runners show great potential, with freshman Carson Baughman excelling in long-distance events. The team is looking forward to filling out the field events, which have been sparse in recent years, with young talents like sophomore Jespyr Nielson and freshman Edgardo Quintanilla.
Harlan will compete alongside several schools, including Boone and Glenwood. With so many fresh faces, the community is excited to see how this promising team performs.
