Harlan Community Mourns the Loss of Luke Clark

Harlan residents remember Luke Clark, who passed away recently at age 70. Born on November 11, 1954, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Luke was a proud member of the Harlan Community High School class of 1973. He later attended Dunwoody Technical College in Minneapolis.

Luke enjoyed the outdoors, especially canoeing on the Nish, riding his Harley, and sharing a cold Budweiser with friends. He leaves behind his wife, Trudy Clark, and children Gretchen Cote and Jared Clark, along with two granddaughters, Evalyn and Kiley Cote. His family also includes siblings Isabel, David, and Frank Clark, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to fund tree planting and a memorial plaque in Luke's honor. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
