Harlan Cyclones Track Team Eyes Success This Season

The Harlan Cyclones Girls Track and Field team is gearing up for a promising season, highlighted by Lindsey Sonderman's impressive early performance. The senior runner has already set a new personal record in the 3000 meters during an indoor meet, aiming for even higher achievements this year after placing 3rd in the 1500 and 4th in the 3000 last season.

Head Coach Jenny Hamilton is optimistic about the team's prospects, citing the potential of other seniors and noting that they hope to strengthen both the Distance Medley and 4×800 relays after finishing 17th in state last year.

Junior Paige Sonderman will contribute her versatility as a utility runner, while sophomore Aubree Wegner begins her journey in high jump. The outdoor season kicks off for Harlan on March 27 at Carroll.
