Harlan Girls' Cross Country Team Shines at State Qualifiers
Harlan's girls' cross country team is making waves after a stellar performance at the state qualifiers, securing a remarkable second place. Lindsey Sonderman led the charge with a first-place finish, showcasing the incredible talent emerging from our community.
Exciting news for Harlan! The local girls' cross country team showed tremendous talent at the Iowa Class 3A state qualifying meet held at Harlan.
The Harlan squad secured second place, advancing to the state meet alongside Glenwood, which took first place. Harlan's top finishers included Lindsey Sonderman, who placed first overall, and Ashlyn Rau, who finished fourth.
In addition to the team success, several individual runners from the area also qualified for state. Notably, Bishop Heelan's Addison Bertrand and Denison-Schleswig's Lola Mendlik and Alexa Tremblay performed well enough to join the ranks of the state competitors.
