In a tough evening for the Harlan girls wrestling team, the Cyclones faced four defeats at the dual event held on January 27 in Council Bluffs. Harlan lost matches against CBAL (42-12), Red Oak (41-6), Shenandoah (18-12), and Southwest Valley (30-18). Only three wrestlers represented Harlan: Hallie Lopez achieved a record of 1-1, securing one win by fall, while Danica Schwery and Krysten Madden struggled, with Schwery going 0-2 and Madden 0-1.
Meanwhile, Southwest Valley finished with a mixed record of 2-2, demonstrating competitiveness with wins over Shenandoah and a loss to Red Oak. Red Oak emerged as the event's standout team, clinching victories in all their matches, including a decisive win over CBAL.
