The Harlan Golf and Country Club recently hosted an exciting Cross Country meet where local teams showcased their talents.
The Harlan Cyclones girls team triumphed, finishing first overall. Sophomore Ashlyn Rau led the pack, securing first place with an impressive time of 18:30.15. She outpaced Glenwood's Grace Berglund just before the final stretch. Other notable finishes included Julia Heslink from Harlan in 5th place, contributing to the team's strong performance.
On the boys’ side, the Riverside Bulldogs claimed victory, winning by 40 points over Red Oak. Kevin Coots from Lewis Central was the top male finisher, completing the race in 15:47.34. Harlan's Jeffrey Gross finished 11th, helping his team secure an 8th place overall ranking.
