Harlan's community spirit shines bright this week with new businesses opening, student achievements to celebrate, and plenty of activities to bring neighbors together!

In today's issue:
• Local news you'll want to know: Downtown welcomes Bits 'N Bobs Thrift Store, where mother-daughter owners Laurel and Eden Klenda offer quality second-hand clothing in a boutique-like setting. The Music Boosters continue fostering arts education across K-12 programs. Our community mourns the loss of beloved resident David Plagmann while celebrating Brylee Schechinger's exciting signing with Simpson College to continue her running career and biology studies. Local athletes are making headlines with college commitments, including Grace Albertsen heading to Iowa Western for basketball.

• Events you won't want to miss: Tonight's 4-H Pancake Supper runs from 5-7:30 PM, while the Simpson Co-Ed Track Classic showcases our talented athletes. The Iowa Regionals for First Robotics begins tomorrow and runs through Friday. Looking ahead, Friday brings a Seafood Fest and Karaoke at Milk & Honey, Saturday features March Diners, Dives and 4X4's, and Sunday offers the Annual Coin Drive and Show Choir Banquet.
