• Local news you'll want to know: Cyclone athletes are making waves with the girls track team securing second place at the Carroll Early Bird meet behind standout performances from freshman Aspen Bieker, Lindsey Sonderman (1500m winner), and Jaylee Schmitz (100 hurdles champion). Both soccer teams impressed in scrimmages against AHSTW Vikings as they prepare for tonight's matches against Treynor. Golf enthusiasts should mark their calendars for April 7, when the boys team under Coach Chad Swanson opens their season with star Jonas Reynolds, while Macy Mueller leads the girls team into action despite facing roster challenges and Iowa's unpredictable spring weather.
