A man from Harlan has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for receiving child pornography. Jesse Daniel Blaine, 42, was sentenced on December 12, 2024, after an investigation revealed that he had downloaded and viewed illegal content on his electronic devices.
The case was initiated when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted authorities about suspicious online activity linked to Blaine’s account. A subsequent search of his home uncovered devices that contained multiple images and videos of child sexual abuse material.
After serving his sentence, Blaine will be subject to five years of supervised release and has been ordered to pay $21,000 in restitution. This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating child exploitation.
