Born in Harlan, Iowa, Kay Francis Harrington, 83, passed away on October 31, 2024, in Pelham, Alabama, after battling ovarian cancer.
She was the cherished daughter of Jack and Berdine Harris and graduated from the University of Redlands in 1963. Kay married Jim Harrington in 1964, and together they raised two children, Jim Harrington Jr. and Nancy Tomlinson, whom she adored.
Kay took immense joy in being a grandmother to five grandchildren, creating lasting memories, particularly at Lake Martin and while cheering them on at sporting events.
An active member of her community, she enjoyed playing Bunco with friends, fostering supportive relationships throughout her life.
This loving matriarch's legacy of love and joy lives on through her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Calera Presbyterian Church in Alabama.
