Harlan Residents Celebrate Key Election Victories

Harlan residents will want to take note of the results from the recent Shelby County General Election held on November 5, 2024.
In the Board of Supervisors race, incumbents Mike Kolbe and Charles Parkhurst secured 4,387 and 3,962 votes, respectively.
Taryn Knapp was elected as Auditor with 5,092 votes, while Neil Gross won the Sheriff position with 5,495 votes.
For the County Hospital Trustees, Jeanine P. Larsen received 3,572 votes, Mike Frederick garnered 3,787 votes, and James E. Bieker had 3,387 votes.
In the Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioner election, Jason Monson and Carl Petersen received 3,810 and 3,594 votes, respectively.
Lastly, Michele Monson was elected to the County Agricultural Extension Council with 3,084 votes, alongside others in various positions.
