Harlan Residents Invited to Explore American Revolution Exhibit Nearby

A new interactive exhibit on the American Revolution is set to open in neighboring Mt. Pleasant, offering residents and students from Harlan a unique opportunity to engage with history.

The "American Revolution Experience," presented by the American Battlefield Trust, will be on display from October 28 to November 12 at Veterans Hall. This immersive exhibit features digital kiosks, illustrations, and personal accounts to connect visitors with the stories of those who fought for independence.

It aims to bridge the gap between traditional historical sites and smaller communities, making history more accessible. Supported by the local James Harlan Chapter NSDAR, the exhibit highlights the importance of preserving national heritage at the community level.

Visitors can explore the exhibit free of charge during its operational hours, and school groups are encouraged to schedule field trips. For teachers interested in organizing visits, contact Charlene Seggerman at meemaw@live.com.
