In the recent KMAland Boys Cross Country meets, several local athletes from Harlan excelled, marking a strong showing for Shelby County. Jeffrey Gross of Harlan secured a commendable 7th place with a time of 16:42.65, earning a spot in the state competition alongside other top contenders from the area.
Harlan finished 8th overall in their meet, while athletes from Atlantic also participated, with Mason Betts finishing 11th. Notably, Des Moines Christian celebrated a team qualification, highlighted by individual champion Caleb Ten Pas.
