The Harlan Rural Health Clinic, part of Myrtue Medical Center, is set to undergo a significant expansion and renovation, commencing in fall 2024. This initiative aims to better serve the growing healthcare needs of Shelby County residents.
The project will add more patient exam rooms and staff work areas, while also integrating behavioral health services to tackle increasing mental health demands. With this expansion, patients can expect shorter wait times and improved access to specialized care.
A new two-floor, 28,000-square-foot addition will feature 24 exam and two procedure rooms, along with 10 provider offices. The second floor will house 16 therapist offices and crisis support spaces, facilitating comprehensive care.
The estimated completion for the project is set for late 2025, with work being handled by experienced firms in rural healthcare construction and design.
