The Harlan Girls Track and Field team is gearing up for another competition tonight at Lewis Central’s Titan Stadium in Council Bluffs. Head Coach Jenny Hamilton emphasizes the importance of improvement for her athletes.
Senior Lindsey Sonderman has earned a spot in this week’s Drake Relays, qualifying in both the 1 mile and 2 mile races, showcasing her dedication and hard work. Freshman Ashlyn Rau is also making waves as the team’s fastest runner in the 800 meters, noted for her coachability.
The team is still finalizing its lineup for the 4×400 and 4×800 relays, working with 6-7 runners to determine the strongest combinations ahead of their upcoming meets. Additionally, Harlan's athletes have achieved personal records in field events this season.
