Harlan Wrestlers Shine at 2A Districts, Head to State

Harlan Community and Audubon showcased their wrestling talents at the 2A Districts in Glenwood, with impressive results.

Harlan's senior Jesse Jens captured the district title at 126 pounds, boasting a remarkable 51-2 record. He will represent the Cyclones alongside teammates Brody McKinley at 150 pounds, Chayton Snethen at 157 pounds, and Brody Bendorf at 175 pounds, all of whom secured second place in their respective matches to qualify for the state tournament.

Audubon also performed well with three wrestlers advancing: Leyton Elmquist, Lane Elmquist, and Jon Rasmussen each took home second-place finishes in their divisions.

All qualified athletes are set to compete at the Wells Fargo Arena, promising an exciting showcase for the Harlan and Audubon communities.
