Harlan’s Brad Curren Eyes Strong Senior Finish at Central
Former Harlan standout Brad Curren says Central College’s young roster learned plenty during a sub-.500 season and believes the Dutch can bounce back in a big way next year.
Brad Curren has wrapped up his junior season at Central College, and the former Harlan standout is already looking ahead.
After helping Central reach the NCAA Tournament during his sophomore year, Curren said this past season fell short of expectations as the Dutch finished 12-13.
Still, he believes the future is bright with the full roster expected back.
Curren’s role has grown steadily over three seasons.
He went from a bench contributor and “3-and-D” option as a freshman to a starting point guard focused on facilitating, ball security, and defense.
He also said the jump to college basketball required faster decision-making, quicker shooting, and sharper defense against stronger, more complete players.
Off the court, Curren continues to shine academically, earning another CSC Academic All-District honor while stressing the value of education alongside athletics.
