Elle Stephens of Harlan Community High School has qualified for the state wrestling tournament in Coralville after a standout performance at the regional meet held at Red Oak High School. Head Coach Tarah Devlin-Lawler praised Stephens for her hard work and success throughout the season, stating that reaching the state tournament was her primary goal.
During the regionals, Stephens secured three victories in the 125 weight class, including a pin against Sadie Smith and a quick win over Maddie McCoy. Fellow teammate Kyrsten Madden also showed resilience, winning her match before concluding her senior season.
