Harlan's Rau and Heslink Shine at State Cross Country Meet
Harlan's Ashlyn Rau and Julia Heslink shone at the Class 3A Girls State Cross Country Meet, earning All-State honors with stunning finishes of 10th and 12th. Their remarkable performances helped the Cyclones secure a solid 9th place as a team.
In an impressive showing at the Class 3A Girls State Cross Country Meet in Fort Dodge, Harlan's Ashlyn Rau and Julia Heslink both earned All-State honors. Rau, a sophomore, finished in 10th place with a time of 18:45.6, improving from her 19th place finish last season. Freshman Heslink took 12th place, clocking in at 18:56.5.
The Harlan Cyclones finished the meet in 9th place as a team, showcasing the talent and determination of their runners. Among other competitors, senior Katrina Williams from Atlantic came in 96th, while Glenwood's Grace Berglund and Caitlin Hebel also represented well, finishing 23rd and 73rd, respectively.
Senior Marissa Ferebee from Pella won her third consecutive state title, leading her team to victory. A total of 132 runners participated in the race.
