HCHS Alumni Blum Inducted into Buena Vista Hall of Fame
Brad Blum, an HCHS and Buena Vista graduate, is honored for his outstanding baseball career by being inducted into the Buena Vista Athletics Hall of Fame.
Brad Blum, a 2007 HCHS graduate and 2011 Buena Vista University alumnus, has been inducted into the Buena Vista Athletics Hall of Fame. Blum, now the head basketball coach for the Underwood Eagles, reflected on his journey and the influential coaches from his high school days.
Blum started his collegiate baseball career slowly but ended up making history as the first player at Buena Vista to achieve over 200 career hits. He finished with an impressive .371 batting average, 176 runs scored, and 68 stolen bases. Blum attributes much of his success to the guidance of his HCHS coaches and the opportunities he had.
Blum’s induction ceremony will be held on September 27, alongside four other honorees. He expressed excitement about the event, looking forward to reminiscing about his memorable experiences at Buena Vista.
