HCHS Cyclone Teams Shine at Carroll Early Bird Event

The HCHS Cyclone girls track and field team had an impressive performance at the Carroll Early Bird event, finishing second overall with 105 points, just 32 points behind first-place Glenwood. Coach Jenny Hamilton praised the team's effort, highlighting standout performances from several athletes, including freshman Aspen Bieker, who won the 400-meter dash.
On the boys' side, the Cyclones secured a fourth-place finish with 72 points. Coach Sam Brummer noted the team's youth and potential despite the finish. Highlights included a second-place finish in the 800 sprint medley relay and strong individual performances in the high jump and distance events.
Both teams will compete again on Thursday in Denison, joining a field of other schools. The community is encouraged to support their local athletes as they continue their season.
