Iowa lawmakers are set to reconvene for the 2025 session on January 13, with a focus anticipated on property tax relief, a pressing issue for many residents. Representative Steven Holt, who has served the 12th District since 2015, stated that he hears the concerns of constituents regarding property taxes and plans to address this in the upcoming session.
Holt is also actively involved in ongoing legal efforts against the Iowa Utilities Commission's decision to grant eminent domain for a proposed carbon sequestration pipeline, an issue significant to Harlan residents. As Chair of the Judiciary Committee, he will continue advocating for transparency and accountability in government.
