In a notable traffic incident on Saturday, a crash at the intersection of County Highway ZZ and Old Stage Road left one woman injured and resulted in multiple citations for both drivers involved.

The accident occurred around 4:45 p.m., when a 28-year-old woman from Coralville, Iowa, failed to spot an oncoming vehicle after stopping at a stop sign. She was struck by a 36-year-old man from Sister Bay, who had the right-of-way.

The collision caused both vehicles to veer into the northbound lane, with the man's van landing on top of the woman's hatchback. Though the Coralville driver suffered minor injuries, her passenger, a 71-year-old woman from Harlan, reported neck pain but did not require hospitalization.
