The Iowa Supreme Court has announced its 2024-2025 adjudicative term schedule, which includes special evening sessions in local communities, including Harlan. This initiative aims to make court proceedings more accessible to the public.
A special evening session is set for September 24, 2024, at Harlan High School auditorium starting at 7:00 p.m. This provides an excellent opportunity for residents to engage with the judicial process and hear oral arguments firsthand.
Other sessions will be held in Marshalltown and Des Moines, ensuring that more Iowans can attend meetings that may otherwise be difficult to visit. All oral arguments will be live-streamed, adding to the accessibility of the court's proceedings.
During the adjudicative term from September 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, opinions will be released every Friday at 9 a.m. on the Iowa Judicial Branch website, offering insights into ongoing cases.
