Start the New Year by stepping into adventure! On January 1, Iowa Parks will host their annual First Day Hikes, inviting residents to explore the great outdoors.
In Southwest Iowa, Harlan locals can participate in hikes at several nearby parks:
Prairie Rose State Park in Harlan offers a guided 2-mile hike starting at 3:00 PM. Enjoy the scenic wide trail while spotting animal tracks, followed by complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn.
