The training featured 30 nurses from various departments at Myrtue, focusing on critical protocols for infant RSV emergencies and obstetric hemorrhage. This important educational event, organized by the Western Iowa Regents Resource Center (WIRRC), allows local professionals to improve their skills without needing to travel far.
Jenny Lefeber, director of the Emergency Department at Myrtue Medical Center, expressed gratitude for the partnership with Iowa Western Community College and the SIM truck team, highlighting its significance for local healthcare.
The WIRRC also fosters career pathways for students in the region by promoting educational opportunities and facilitating credit transfers among institutions.
