HARLAN — Megan Londo has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Shelby County Historical Museum. Having joined the museum in May 2024 as the Collections Assistant, Londo quickly developed a passion for the history of Shelby County and engaged the community through various projects.
In her new role, Londo will manage daily operations, fundraising, and exhibit development while maintaining her commitment to sharing the county's history. She expressed excitement about continuing popular traditions, like the Santa in the Cabins event, while also bringing her unique ideas to the museum.
Londo emphasizes the importance of listening to local stories, which she aims to share through various platforms and community events. One upcoming event is an Educator’s Night in March, designed to connect local educators and provide them with valuable resources.
